With iBlurDeferredShadowMask set to 1, the shadows are grainy at the edges.Īny ideas? I can't think of what else it could be. Memory Blocks Log shows that I'm nowhere near the infamous 256MB limit when the crash happens either, so it's not failed memory allocation. If I leave it at 1 I can fly around endlessly and not crash (no mods active) if I change it, I crash. The problem is when stress testing (TCL, TGM, Speedmult 1500 and fly around), I crash with the iBlurDeferredShadowMask value changed to anything other than 1 (default for Medium Shadow Detail in the Skyrim Launcher). This gives the shadows acceptable quality and doesn't leave the world seeming too shadowless.
Here's what I've come to like well enough.ġ) Shadow Detail set to Medium in the Skyrim LauncherĢ) Change iBlurDeferredShadowMask to 3 or 5 in the SkyrimPrefs.iniģ) Change fShadowDistance to 8000 in the SkyrimPrefs.ini I've been toying with the Shadow Quality to compromise and stay above 50 FPS with ENB enabled.
